Callen Ragsdale, PA-C started her career as a physician assistant at Premier Orthopedic Specialists of Tulsa upon graduating from Harding University’s Physician Assistant Program. She attended Harding University in Arkansas on a collegiate tennis scholarship where she earned her Bachelor degree, followed by her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Although Little Rock was home for a few years, Callie is a Tulsa native and moved back to Oklahoma to be near family.
Callie enjoys working as an orthopedic physician assistant because she is able to help patients return to mobility and health. It is very rewarding for her to see patients improve every day. Her role includes taking history and physicals, patient education, lab and imaging interpretation, joint injections and aspirations, prescribing medications, and assisting in adult hip and knee reconstructive surgeries. She is also trained in the evaluation and treatment of patients, pre and post-operatively, as well as recognizing when patients need to be seen by an additional specialist.
She is a member of the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants and is nationally certified by the NCCPA. Callie is married and has a 1-year-old son. She loves spending time with family, traveling, playing tennis, and is active in her church.
